“Chinese date.” Pear-shaped fruits are reddish-brown, dry, wrinkled, sweet and chewy (like dates) when fully ripe in early Fall. Attractive, easy to grow tree: hardy, drought resistant, virtually pest and disease free. Requires long, hot summer. Very low chilling requirement.
